Miami

What is that you want to remember when you get older? I think many people want to remember grandiose travels, crazy adventures or maybe a great party (that of course you tend to not remember, let’s be honest). I find myself wanting to remember spaces in time when I was genuinely enjoying myself.

Case in point, this week I had the opportunity to go to Miami and see some great friends. My flight back to NYC was at night so I ended up with close to 5 hours free. So, what do you do in Miami? Quite obviously get that tan ON! We quickly went to TJMaxx and bought a bathing suit, changed at a gelato place and headed to the beach. No towels, no sunscreen (sorry mom) and my bag full of work stuff.

What will I remember the most about this adventure? The fun I had swimming in crystal clear water, running with our bags from the sudden rain, drying with the wind on our way to the car, changing clothes in the back seat and having some delish mojitos and Cuban food before getting to my gate.

It’s important that I say that I don’t want to paint you a perfect life here, I rather want to share how I change my days (and my memories) when I don’t take myself so seriously and remember to have fun. See you soon Miami, you were a lot of fun and I promise I will take more pictures.
