Choose Your Job Wisely / Elige tu Trabajo con Astucia
Unless you are a freelancer, working from different companies very often, or have a pretty darn amazing job that involves a whole lotta travel, chances are you are going to end up working from an office from 9-5 and probably later. Once you tally up the time you take to get ready, get to work and get back home from work, that is a LOT of time spent outside of home!
As many of us start working at our first “adult” jobs out of college it is very important that we are aware of how important the company culture is. Sure, we are often forced to take the first job we can get because we have bills to pay, but eventually, it should be our first and most important mission to find a place where we do what we love, or at least have the chance to grow to do so, and we enjoy spending time in.
How can you start doing so? Research. Enter the company names you are interested in and visit their social media sites. Additionally, go to their corporate site and read their history and ethos. Of course it would be a dream for many to work at Google or Facebook, but that is not all that there is. Keep your research broad and find some fantastic startups where you can learn a ton and start you career.
If you live your day to day wishing for the day to end or the weekend to come, or both, you are most definitely at the wrong place. We are going to work a large portion of our lives, so pretty please make it count.

Claro, muchos podemos estar forzados a tomar el primer trabajo decente que nos ofrecen ya que tenemos muchas cuentas que pagar, pero eventualmente, debería ser nuestro más importante misión encontrar un lugar donde hacemos lo que amamos, o como poco tenemos un chance de aprender lo suficiente como para hacerlo en el futuro cercano y disfrutemos pasar el tiempo.
¿Cómo podemos comenzar a hacer esto? Investigando. Busca el nombre de las compañías que te interesan y visita sus redes sociales. Adicionalmente, ve a sus página web corporativa y lee su historia y carácter distintivo. Claro que para muchos sería un sueño trabajar para Google o Facebook, pero eso no es todo lo que hay. Manten tu búsqueda bien amplia y trata de encontrar nuevas compañías que pueden ser lugares fantásticos para aprender y comenzar tu carrera.
Si mientras trabajas pasas los días contando las horas para irte o para que llegue el fin de semana, o ambas, definitivamente estás en el lugar equivocado. Vamos a trabajar una inmensa parte de nuestras vidas así que por favor, haz que valga la pena.
