April was the first month we developed original photos for Hola, Rita (yas!) and we loved every minute of it. Not only because we had a blast shooting, but because we understand the importance of representation in social media, even when it comes in the humble form of rolos and Country Club.
As we continue to grow and diversify the topics we cover about every month, we realize more and more the lack of quality, unique, diverse and decidedly Dominican visual and content there is. So, what better way to fix this than to tap into the community?
Starting today Tuesday, May 21st to Saturday, May 25th we invite you to submit a photo that represents Freedom to you by sending your visual work to social@holarita.com with your name & IG page, brief bio and a quick description of the work. Be it a portrait or an image of kids playing in the rain - whatever it is, we want to see your work. The Hola, Rita team will review the submissions and share the best images on Instagram with the appropriate credits. At the end of the month, the photo with most likes will win $100 USD.

Abril fue el primer mes en que desarrollamos fotos originales para Hola, Rita (¡uepa!) y nos encantó cada minuto de nuestra sesión. No solo porque la pasamos genial, sino porque entendemos la importancia de la representación en las redes sociales, incluso cuando se trata de unos humildes rolos y un Country Club.
A medida que continuamos creciendo y diversificando los temas que cubrimos cada mes, nos damos cuenta cada vez más de la falta de contenido visual de calidad, único, diverso y decididamente dominicano. Entonces, ¿qué mejor manera de solucionar esto que colaborando con la comunidad?
Comenzando hoy, martes 21 de Mayo, al sábado 25 de Mayo, te invitamos a enviar una foto que represente la libertad para ti a social@holarita.com con tu nombre y cuenta de Instagram, una breve biografía y descripción de la foto. Ya sea un retrato o una imagen de niños jugando bajo la lluvia, sea lo que sea, queremos ver tu trabajo. El equipo de Hola, Rita considerará las imágenes y compartirá las mejores en Instagram con los créditos correspondientes. Al final del mes, la foto con más likes recibirá $100 USD.

Importante: Este concurso está abierto a personas que viven en los Estados Unidos y/o la República Dominicana únicamente. Al enviar tu imagen, estás autorizando que Hola, Rita la comparta en su perfil de Instagram. Cualquier uso adicional de la imágene deberá ser aprobado por el titular de los derechos.
